Project Details:
Demolition and Structural Work: The entire building was demolished, but the original framing was kept intact. New framing, beams, walls, and a foundation were added to ensure structural integrity. Concrete padding and new posts were installed, all approved by the city.
Collaborative Design: The homeowner and designer worked together to create a new design that included new flooring, drywall, insulation (including spray insulation), and a vaulted ceiling.
Painting and Finishing: The painting scope included interior paint, finished eaves, exterior stucco, and exterior paint, giving the house a fresh and polished look.
Custom Cabinetry: Custom cabinets were built and installed to enhance the kitchen and storage areas.
Tile and Stone Work: Both tile and stone were meticulously laid out to add elegance and functionality.
Electrical and Plumbing Upgrades:
Electrical: Rough electrical work included adding new wiring, outlets, and canned lights. The main electrical panel was also updated.
Plumbing: Rough plumbing work involved installing sewer drains, rerouting hot and cold water to specific areas, and installing faucets, shower handles, and toilets.
Sustainable Energy: Full solar panel installation was completed to provide the home with sustainable energy.
This extensive remodel took 2 years to complete, resulting in a beautifully renovated home that blends modern amenities with its original charm.
